AFC Meetings

Breakfast Action Group (BAG) Meetings – see flyer for details

 Monday Mornings  7:00 – 9:00 a.m.
at Perkins Restaurant at Colorado Blvd and I-25.

Planned Morning Schedule

 BAG Morning Meetings – 3 Monday mornings per month.
 No morning meeting during the week when there is an evening meeting.

If you are interested in being more involved and work during the day, AFC is going to have one  DAG – Dinner Action Group meeting a month in the evening.

Starting the week of April 14, 2019 the AFC evening meeting will be on the 3rd Monday of the Month.

Our meeting place is located just west of the Perkins near I-25 and Colorado Blvd.


Next General Meeting: Tuesday – October 22, 2019 –  7:00 pm to 9:00 pm

Mr. Glen Tapai – Director of  Probation Services for the State Court Administrators Office
will be our guest.

This is your opportunity to learn and ask questions about how the Probation Services Department works and how the executive branch interfaces with probation officers and other probation departments.

Glenn Tapia has 31 years of leadership and criminal justice experience in the public sector.   Over 21 years of his career have been spent working in the field of community supervision from a line-level staff member to his current position as Director of Probation Services for the State Court Administrators Office.   His career includes over 20 consecutive years with the State of Colorado in strategic oversight and advancement of Colorado’s community corrections systems in the Executive Branch which includes 11 years of upper management experience.   His experience with the state legislative and policy process, strategic implementation of evidence-based practices and programs, and multi-level collaboration is augmented with advanced education and experience with academic instruction and professional consultation. Glenn has an ardent commitment to excellence in criminal justice administration that is centered in the application of science to public safety policy.

 

Glenn has also worked recently with the national organizations that provide support for community supervision organizations at the state and local levels.  Glenn has provided leadership development training for the American Probation and Parole Association (APPA) Leadership Institute, and the Council of State Governments (National Re-entry Resource Center).   Glenn has also provided support to the Bureau of Justice of Assistance (BJA) and National Institute of Corrections (NIC) with presentations in the areas of contemporary community supervision and leadership approaches.  Glenn is also a certified Emergenetics © Associate, facilitator and coach – helping others with the concept of cognitive collaboration and applying a neuro-science-based personality assessment to the professional team environment.

Schedule and Invitations to 2019 CDOC SOTMP Support Education Meetings

The Sex Offender Treatment and Monitoring Program (SOTMP) at the CDOC is presenting an introductory education meeting for families, friends and others who are considering supporting someone who has committed a sexual offense in an effort to prevent re-offending.

RSVP is required.

SOMB meetings are held monthly are open to the public.  Some require an RSVP.
